Old glory

'Philip alt

Two years have gone by since I last have taken a look on it, but it seems that finally my contribution to Space Doubles might get published. Or maybe not, as I haven't been informed about it.

Nonetheless, these guys have worked very hard to get it into the comic-book stores that to plug it is naturally taken for granted.

Therefore, good luck to the guys at Th3rdworld.

I stick to it!

Argghhh, I hate it! Whatever you do, scans never look as good as the original.

A kingdom for a proper 1:1 depiction by a scanner...

Never mind, close ups always rock ... :) :

How does Sci get on with Fi these days?

I've been a bit busy recently, so there's not much to say but to throw a sketch into the blogpit.

With thanks to my 0.3 Pentel pencil, a close up of the sketch:

"this kind of stuff" confuses me as much as it angers me. I know it's been going around for awhile but it shouldn't be old news until it stops.

Getting scientific: Contextual Painting

I recently went to a town called Bondo in Graubünden (Switzerland), where I painted some studies. The shown examples below were all painted on location (to sound a note of caution, this link isn't suited for everyone!). On such locations you often discover some unsettling "things".

Blöd

I don't know how to prevent such unsubstantial drawings as I'm tired and longing to be capable of doing better than that, but I continue to do them.

One should think that I've done this enough already.
